Building Trauma-Informed Leadership at AdventHealth Celebration Hospital
Earlier this year, Synergy Behavioral Health Solutions partnered with AdventHealth Women’s Hospital to deliver a Leadership Training focused on Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), understanding trauma, and the TIPPS (Trauma-Informed Peer-to-Peer Surveillance) model.
Participants shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting how the training deepened their understanding of trauma’s impact and provided practical strategies for creating safer, more supportive environments for staff and patients.
Word of this success spread through the AdventHealth network, and leaders at the Celebration Hospital invited us to bring the same program to their site. In August 2025, we delivered the training there, where participants explored TIC principles, learned how TIPPS fosters peer connection and psychological safety, and developed actionable leadership strategies to embed trauma-informed practices across teams.
We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such engaged leaders at both campuses and look forward to seeing trauma-informed, peer-supported care continue to grow across AdventHealth.

The success of this inaugural training would soon spark interest from other AdventHealth hospitals, setting the stage for future TIC and TIPPS leadership sessions across the network.
